FAQ

  • Life is busy. Therapy offers the time and space for you to focus on you, rather than being one more thing to do.

My private practice hours are Monday-Thursday, 9am - 3pm, and Friday afternoons.

  • You bet! Many clients choose this option. This sets you up with a regular time-slot on the same day every week making our time together a new part of your routine. If you have one in mind, we will do our best to accommodate.

    • Our first session will consist of a bit of paperwork and a lot of getting to know each other. The getting to know each other part is really important! Successful outcomes for clients are directly linked to the relationship you have with your therapist – that experience of feeling like someone “gets you”.

    • We’ll work to define what you are experiencing, set some goals, and map out a realistic timeline to achieving them.

    • By the end of the session, you can expect to leave with a clear picture of our plan moving forward and the steps we’ll take to get there.

  • Showing up and sharing your unique experiences will build a foundation for powerful work together. If you’re not sure what you’re feeling or how to describe it, that’s okay, and in fact, perfectly normal!  We’ll be there to help you find your voice; we’ll go at your own pace.

  • Everyone’s circumstances are unique and the length of time you spend in therapy depends on your commitment to the process, as well as the factors that bring you to therapy in the first place. Issues like broken trust, history of trauma, or addiction may take longer to respectfully untangle.

Some clients come in to learn specific tools for 6-8 sessions; others need longer to unpack their stuff and create meaningful, lasting change.
